A Prayer for Deliverance and Wisdom
Heavenly Father,
Please pray in agreement with me: We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up my brother Mike. Lord, We ask for a supernatural breakthrough, that the power of the Holy Spirit will break every chain in his life. We pray for conviction in his heart, that he will recognize his need for help and surrender his will to You. If the Son sets you free, then you will be really free. John 8:36 Lord, we pray that You guide Mike toward the help he need and that You protect his mind and body during this process. We lift up Edna his mother and Brandy his girlfriend. Lord, give them the wisdom, courage, and strength. We pray they would no longer bear a load that is not theirs to carry, but instead, allow Mike to face the consequences of his actions so he can seek true recovery. But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. 1 Timothy 5:8 Surround all of them with Your protection and guidance, leading them away from darkness and toward the light of recovery. We declare a total breakthrough, healing, and restoration for this family, in Jesus Christ name amen.

I ask all of this in the perfect name of Jesus Christ, because in His name I am known, and by His perfect blood I am made worthy.
I pray for Christians worldwide. Bless us with a faith that honors You.
I pray for my dad. Please heal his heart, which appears to be failing. And when his time comes, may he be received into Your eternal kingdom with no pain, no fear, and in faith. Thank You for his faith. Bless him and keep him.
I pray for myself and my family, that we are saved unto Your eternal kingdom. Protect us from all harm at all times. Favor us please.
I ask for a pure heart. Bless us with lives and hearts that are pure, pleasing, and obedient to You. I pray to have favor with humanity and God. However most importantly God.
I give You my life and all my plans. Grant me faith in Your mercy and grace.
I am at a crossroads and humbly ask, if You are willing, for Your divine intervention. I place this situation fully in Your hands. If it is within Your will, please cleanse me, restore me, and renew me by Your grace and mercy.
I also ask for help finding work. I pray for a job where I do not have to compromise my faith a good job with good pay so I can care for my family responsibly and independently; a job I can love and feel at home in; a stable job.
Please be with me on this journey. Order my steps, I pray I only go with who You want me to travel with, and keep me in Your will. Keep me obedient to You at all times, make me a faithful example wherever I go, and protect me in every place and circumstance.
I pray for my community, that they are saved at any cost unto Your eternal kingdom and serve as a witness in this world. I also lift up all persecuted Christians, especially those in Africa, and ask for Your protection over them.
I now rest in You. You have all power. Everything is in Your hands.

Baby James Update
James has been doing really well— he is eating on his own, gaining weight, and is learning to stand on his own! All of his cardiology appointments have gone smoothly, and he is off all diuretics. We celebrated his birthday last week, and today is the one year anniversary of James’s first heart surgery! In the world of heart patients, the anniversary of someone’s open heart surgery is called their heartiversary. We hope that 5, 25, and 50 years from now this day will not be a sad reminder of his suffering, but that it can be a celebration of his strength. It is a day that represents three surgeries, and more to come someday. Seeing pictures of him post op is an amazing reminder of the miracles in his life.
All this time we have been asking for specific prayer requests, but now that James is in good health, here are some broader things you can pray for, if he is ever on your mind.
Pray that he is able to avoid any respiratory illnesses, which should not be life threatening anymore, but will be harder for him to get over than a normal child.
Pray that his INR is stable and that we can keep his medication dosage for his blood thinner working well for him.
Pray that his home testing machine starts being more reliable, so that he does not have to get weekly lab draws. We have been having issues with its results not matching the lab draw results for some unknown reason.
Pray that he is able to grow and play and enjoy his childhood despite the restrictions he will face, and that he will stay free from any brain injuries that are made more likely due to the blood thinners.
Pray that he is able to make it more than a couple years before growing out of his current mechanical mitral valve.
Pray that medical advancements continue to make heart surgery safer and provide more options for kids like James. Pray that another drug is developed someday that protects mechanical valves as well as warfarin, but with lower bleeding risk.
Pray for the babies who were wheeled into the OR today for the first time, and their parents who sit with them in the CICU tonight. Pray that one year from today their baby will celebrate their first heartiversary at home.
One year is a huge milestone and we want to say thank you for being on this journey with us, praying for us, and for spreading awareness about congenital heart disease.

I have OCD, which floods my mind with negative intrusive thoughts. Normally I can manage them, but right now they’re out of control. Ignoring them only makes them grow. I need to study and work, but I can’t concentrate. Please pray that God helps me let go, clear my mind, and focus. Thank you so much for your prayers.
