Youth Programs

FCC is fully committed to our youth by providing a program that focuses on both personal and spiritual growth. Our Youth Program encourages individual expression and attempts to create an affirming and uplifting atmosphere that nurtures self-esteem, promotes common courtesy, and follows the teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ. Groups are open to all youth who come with a respectful attitude and are open to the challenge of personal enrichment.


Bible Explorers Sunday Morning Program - Pre-K to 8th grade
FCC Torrance has a new Sunday morning program called Bible Explorers for preschool through 5th grade. Bible Explorers is a creative, kid-pleasing program that focuses on a new Bible story every month. Each story is taught for this four week period and the kids visit a different workshop each week, experiencing the story in a new and exciting way. On a given Sunday the children might pull up a pillow in our storytelling tent, don a costume and act out a story in our drama corner, grab a bag of popcorn and watch a movie clip or play a game on a life size game board to see how many questions they can answer about that month's story. This vital, exciting program will enrich the lives or our kids as they explore the Bible in ways they have never done before. Sixth through eighth grade youth will have the chance to experience this program as Shepherds for the younger children, helping to guide them while experiencing the workshops themselves.

High School Sunday Morning Program
Youth in High School are encouraged to attend a lively discussion and learning group on Sunday mornings at 9:30a.m.

Worship and Wonder - 3 years through 2nd grade
Children Worship & Wonder offers an exciting way to approach faith formation with children. The approach recognizes children as spiritual beings who already have a relationship with God. This worship service takes place during Traditional worship. The children are led out of the traditional service by an adult greeter after the Children's Moment.

Morning Message - 3rd through 5th grade
The youth are given a message based on the Sunday sermon, but with relevance to their lives. They are led out of Traditional service after communion.

Youth Adventure - 3rd through 5th grade - Calendar of Events
Meets 1st and 3rd Sundays at noon.

Chi-Rho - 6th through 8th grade - Calendar of Events
Chi Rho is the first three Greek letters in the word Christ. They meet on the 2nd and 4th Sundays at noon and have occasional outings and special events.

CYF stands for Christian Youth Fellowship and meets on Sunday at Noon and has occasional outings and special meeting times.
