Disciples Women
Our purpose is “to provide opportunities for spiritual growth, enrichment, education and creative ministries to enable women to develop a sense of personal responsibility for the whole mission of the church of Jesus Christ.”
We are connected both regionally and nationally with other women to help make this mission happen.
All women of First Christian Church of Torrance are part of the Disciples Women.

We are connected both regionally and nationally with other women to help make this mission happen.
Here in Torrance there are many opportunities for you to be a part of this ministry. One of which is to join us in a small group, on the third Tuesday or the first Thursday of each month in Bible study and fellowship with women who share your same interests and life experiences. Another is to join us in our monthly “Lunch and Program” meeting on each fourth Sunday at noon. (Sometimes varies depending on Holidays. Please check the luncheon schedule)

Young Adults
FCC has a Young Adults group, led by Pastor Kel that is open to all persons 18 years of age & older. The group comes together three to four times a month in a variety of settings and times to accommodate the schedules and needs of the members. Group meetings and events focus on spirituality, recreation, and personal growth.
We regularly gather at the Catalina Coffee House, where Pastor Kel brings engaging discussion topics and related activity designed to challenge and enlighten. Topics like “Seeing Jesus in the world,” “Life choices,” “People in our lives,” and “Dreams” have filled our coffee house evenings.
